Can the whole beard be removed?

There's no single area for the whole beard in our price list: we work by the areas around it, which are the cheeks, cheekbones, sideburns and neck. If you want to remove the whole beard, say so at the consultation and we'll look at your hair and skin.

Do I need to shave my face before the session?

Not specially. The specialist will look before the session and decide whether the hair needs trimming.

How many sessions does a beard line need?

6-10 as a guide, then maintenance usually once every 6-12 months. We'll be more precise at the consultation once we see your hair.

Will laser remove grey hair in my beard?

Hardly: grey hair has almost no pigment. Dark hair around the grey goes as usual.

Does laser help with ingrown hairs on the neck?

Yes, it's a long-term option: where there's less hair, you shave less often, and ingrown hairs are more likely exactly where you shave.

Does laser on the face hurt?

The session goes calmly; at most you'll feel a light tingling. Our laser has contact cooling.

Can I change my beard shape later?

The line can be moved at the next session: lowered on the cheeks, raised on the neck. Hair that's gone will be hard to get back, so we start cautiously.

Beard line laser hair removal

With laser, your beard line lasts longer: hair above the line on the cheeks and below it on the neck grows back less with each session, so you touch up the line less often. Which areas around the beard are treated

We split the face into areas, and you can take each one separately, only what bothers you. We don't treat the eyebrows; the area between them only after a consultation.

How to choose your beard line

You decide where the line goes, and the specialist will tell you how it will look. It's better to start cautiously: extra hair can be removed at the next session, but hair that's gone will be hard to get back. We mark the line together before the session. If you often change your beard shape, mention it at the consultation.

The neck and ingrown hairs after shaving

Ingrown hairs are more likely where you shave, including the face and neck. They are more common with coarse or curly hair. Men's laser hair removal helps here too: where there's less hair, you shave less often.

Who facial laser hair removal suits

Laser on the face suits anyone tired of tidying up the beard line and neck every day. Laser works best on thick, dark hair and light skin. On blonde and red hair the result is weaker, and on grey hair the laser barely works, as it has almost no pigment. If your beard has grey in it, we'll tell you what to expect at the consultation and check for contraindications there too.

How to prepare for a face session

You don't need to shave your face and neck specially: the specialist will look and decide whether the hair needs trimming. Skip tweezers, waxing and epilators for 3-4 weeks before, as the laser needs the hair root. No strong sun or tanning beds for two weeks before the visit. If your tan is fresh and the skin is still red, we reschedule; a light tan without redness is fine, and we set the power to suit it. No aftershave or cream on the day. How many sessions a beard line needs

The laser only affects hair in the growth phase, so you need a course: on the face, expect 6-10 sessions.

The first three sessions are 4-5 weeks apart, then the interval grows with your hair growth: we'll give you an approximate date at the visit and message you when it gets close. How a session goes and what comes after

One area on the face or neck takes 15-30 minutes. The session takes place in a separate treatment room, with single-use materials and special glasses to protect your eyes. Before the session the specialist examines your skin and cleans it with chlorhexidine. It all goes calmly; at most you'll feel a light tingling, and our laser has contact cooling. After the session the specialist applies panthenol to the area. Redness and slight swelling around the hairs are a normal reaction.

No aftershave or fragrance for 24 hours. For the first 1-2 days, skip the gym, sauna and pool, and avoid tight collars and scarves. Protect your face and neck from the sun for two weeks. More in Laser hair removal aftercare for men.

Can facial hair get thicker after laser

Occasionally the hair on some patch gets thicker after laser; this is called paradoxical hypertrichosis. It's more common in skin type III (white skin that tans after an initial burn). If you notice it, tell the specialist at your next visit.

We work with a hybrid laser (alexandrite, diode and neodymium) with contact cooling. One area on the face costs 600 Kč, and the front and back of the neck are 900 Kč each.
