How many
How many laser hair removal sessions do you need?
For the underarms you usually need 6 to 8 sessions - the area responds well to laser because the hair is dark and dense. That's a guide: no one can name the exact number in advance, it depends on your hair type, hormones and the growth phase.
So we go by your area rather than by an average: underarms usually move faster than the rest, and it shows after the third session.
The session
How the session works
The first step is a free consultation. We check your skin, ask about your health and any contraindications, and do a test flash to set a power level that's comfortable for you.
The session itself uses a hybrid laser (alexandrite, diode and neodymium) with contact cooling, which takes the edge off most of the sensation even in delicate areas. The time depends on the area: small zones take around 15 minutes, large ones up to an hour. Your first visit takes a little longer, as it includes the consultation and test flash.
Preparation
How to prepare for your session
Before your session, shave the underarms - not wax or pluck, so the hair root stays in place. On the day, come without deodorant or cream: they leave a film that blocks the pulse.

Aftercare
What to do after the session
Right after a session the skin can be a little red and warm - that's normal and settles within a few hours. For the first 1-2 days, take it easy: skip deodorant for a day and avoid sauna, pool, hot baths and intense workouts - sweat irritates the treated skin.
Skip tanning and sunbeds for 1 to 2 weeks. In summer a vest top leaves the underarms bare, so do not forget them in the sun.
The next session is about 4-5 weeks later. Underarms respond quickly, and the difference shows after the first few visits.

The underarms are sensitive, but the session is short and the laser's contact cooling reduces the discomfort. Most people describe it as mild warmth and a light tingle.

Can I use deodorant?+
Come without it on the day, and skip deodorant for a day after the session. Otherwise, as usual. Sweat and odor after a course in detail: does laser reduce sweating and odor?.

Underarms respond well and growth drops for a long time after a course. The laser does not remove hair forever, so an occasional top-up visit is needed.
