Laser Hair Removal for the Perianal Area
A small, sensitive area, usually treated together with the deep bikini.
We'll confirm the exact price and number of sessions at your free consultation.

About the area
The perianal area: what it is and who it suits
The perianal area is the crease between the buttocks and the skin around the anus. It is rarely booked on its own: most often it goes together with the deep bikini, and that combination is listed as Hollywood.
The reason people treat it is practical rather than cosmetic: hair here gets in the way of hygiene, and blind shaving or waxing leaves ingrown hairs, irritation and small nicks in a place where skin heals slowly and rubs against underwear all day.
Hair in this area is usually dark and coarse - exactly what the laser responds to best. After a course, hygiene is simpler and there is far less to irritate.

How many
How many laser hair removal sessions do you need?
Expect 6 to 10 sessions. The area is small and the hair is dense and dark, so it usually responds as well as the bikini area.
Nobody can name the exact number in advance: we track your hair growth cycle and set the intervals so you get the most out of the fewest sessions.

The session
How the session works
The first step is a free consultation. We check your skin, ask about your health and any contraindications, and do a test flash to set a power level that's comfortable for you.
The session itself uses a hybrid laser (diode + alexandrite) with contact cooling, which takes the edge off most of the sensation even in delicate areas. The time depends on the area: small zones take around 15 minutes, large ones up to an hour. Your first visit takes a little longer, as it includes the consultation and test flash.
Preparation
How to prepare for your session
Shave the area the day before or on the day of your visit - not with wax and not by plucking: the root has to stay in place, otherwise the laser has nothing to act on.
Ordinary hygiene, a shower, is all you need beforehand. Do not put creams, oils or powders on the area, they get in the way of the flash.
This is the short version. The full preparation guide is in a separate article, button below.

Aftercare
What to do after the session
For the first few hours the skin may feel warm and look slightly red, which is normal. Wear loose cotton underwear for a day or two: freshly treated skin does not need the friction.
Skip the sauna, the pool, hot baths and scrubs for a few days. High-friction sport is worth postponing too.
After a few days the treated hairs start to fall out on their own - do not pull them, let them go.

Your schedule
When to book the next session
After the session and throughout the course we stay in touch and track when your hair is actively growing, so the next session lands at the right moment.
The next session is usually 5 weeks or more later: the hair has to enter a new growth phase for the laser to do its work.

Common questions about the perianal area
Is it awkward?+
For the salon it is a routine treatment: the area is small, the session takes 15 to 30 minutes, and the specialist works with it as calmly as with any other area.
Does it hurt?+
The skin here is sensitive, but the area is small and only a few flashes are needed. The laser's contact cooling takes most of the discomfort away.
How is it different from the deep bikini?+
The deep bikini is the area at the front and between the legs; the perianal area is the crease at the back. They are often done together, and that combination is listed as Hollywood.
What about my period?+
It does not prevent the treatment, but sensitivity can be higher. If it feels uncomfortable, just move the session by a couple of days.
