About the area
Front of the neck: what the area covers and who it suits
This is the area under the chin and down the front of the neck as far as the collarbones. The back of the neck is priced separately: different hair, different price.
On women the hair here is usually just a few strands, but coarse and dark, and it grows exactly where the person you are talking to can see it. Tweezing is quick, but the skin on the neck is thin and answers with irritation, and constant plucking makes the hair coarser.
The laser handles those hairs more gently than tweezers: it works on the root and leaves the skin no mechanical damage. The area is small and a session takes minutes.

How many
How many laser hair removal sessions do you need?
Expect 6 to 10 sessions. Neck hair is dark, so the laser has something to work with and the difference shows early.
As on the face, hair growth on a woman's neck is often hormone-driven, and then occasional top-up visits are needed after the course.

The session
How the session works
The first step is a free consultation. We check your skin, ask about your health and any contraindications, and do a test flash to set a power level that's comfortable for you.
The session itself uses a hybrid laser (alexandrite, diode and neodymium) with contact cooling, which takes the edge off most of the sensation even in delicate areas. The time depends on the area: small zones take around 15 minutes, large ones up to an hour. Your first visit takes a little longer, as it includes the consultation and test flash.
Preparation
How to prepare for your session
You do not need to shave your neck before the visit; come as you are and the specialist will decide on the spot whether the hair needs trimming. What matters is different: stop tweezing 3 to 4 weeks beforehand, the root has to stay in place.
Come with no cream or foundation on your neck. Two weeks without tanning: the neck is exposed more often than people think.
Details are in the preparation article.

Aftercare
What to do after the session
The skin on the neck is thin, so redness shows more here than on the body. It usually settles within a few hours.
Keep cosmetics and perfume off the area for a day and avoid tight collars and scarves for two days. SPF for two weeks: the neck is almost always exposed and is more sun-sensitive after the laser.
The hairs come out on their own within a few days; tweezers are not allowed to help.

Your schedule
When to book the next session
We usually run the neck alongside the face if you are having both: similar growth cycle, same interval.
The next session is usually 4-5 weeks or more later. Hair returns faster on the neck than on the body, so the schedule here is tighter.

Common questions about the neck
How is the front different from the back?+
The front runs from under the chin to the collarbones. The back is the patch below the nape, under the hairline. They are priced separately.
Can the neck be done together with the face?+
Yes, and it is more convenient: the areas are next to each other, both are done in one visit and they run on one schedule.
Does it hurt?+
The skin is thin and sensitive, but the patch is tiny: a few flashes and it is done. Contact cooling takes away most of what you feel.
How many sessions will I need?+
Usually 6 to 10. If the growth is hormone-driven, add occasional top-up visits after the course.
